Demand for last-minute summer holiday bookings is increasing at German tour operator alltours, with Greece among the destinations recording stronger interest and Turkey standing out with a more than 50% rise in bookings.

According to an announcement by the alltours Group, bookings for the summer season recorded a significant double-digit increase in June compared with the previous month, with the upward trend continuing.

The main driver of increased demand is Turkey, where last-minute bookings have risen by more than 50%. Demand for Greece, Egypt, and Spain is also performing above average.

According to alltours CEO Dennis Schrahe, many travellers had postponed their decisions due to economic and political uncertainty. However, as the summer holiday period approaches, they are now proceeding with their bookings. He estimated that demand for last-minute trips this year will be stronger than last year.

Particularly attractive offers are currently available for destinations with good flight availability and a wide range of hotel options, such as Turkey, Egypt, and Tunisia. Depending on the destination, hotel, and travel dates, discounts can reach up to 45%.

Good availability also remains for Greece and Spain, while travellers planning long-haul last-minute trips can find deals for the Maldives, Thailand, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.

For travellers choosing road-trip holidays, offers are available for destinations such as the Baltic Sea coast, Austria, and southern France.

For example, a one-week all-inclusive holiday including flights, hotel accommodation, and transfers at a four-star beachfront hotel starts from €733 per person in Tunisia and from €670 in Egypt’s Red Sea region. Similarly, a one-week stay in Mallorca at a four-star hotel near the beach is available from €760, while holidays in Greece start from €643.

alltours highlights that flexibility regarding destination, hotel, departure airport, and flight times increases the chances of securing better prices. By contrast, families with fixed holiday dates or preferences for specific hotels are advised not to delay making their bookings.
