Greek Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias held a meeting on Saturday with China’s Culture and Tourism Minister HU Heping with the aim of deepening the cooperation between the two countries and exchanging views in light of the celebration of the year of friendship between Greece and China, ANA reports.
More specifically, they discussed ways to revive traveling after the lifting of restrictive measures due to the pandemic, but also to further strengthen tourist flows. In the context of the effort to further extend the tourism season, Kikilias proposed an increase in direct flights, even in the off-season, which was positively received by the Chinese minister.
The unbreakable bonds of friendship that connect the two peoples were also stressed, as well as the great interest in travel that exists on both sides, as the history and important culture of the two countries are a pole of attraction for both Chinese and Greek travelers.
Finally, special mention was made of the initiatives to promote thematic forms of tourism, as provided for in the joint program of actions signed between Greece and China.
